Becci Landrock runs Southfields School of Pottery from her single studio at Charlton Mackrell, near Somerton. She trained through a two-year ceramics apprenticeship on the Isle of Wight, where she grew up, before completing a degree at Camberwell College of Arts. Landrock went on to run The Village Pottery at Clarks Village in Street for thirteen years, and later taught ceramics at Millfield School, before returning to teach from her original Charlton Mackrell studio. Courses cover wheel-throwing, hand-building, glazing and decoration, and Raku firing, structured as multi-week terms of ten to twelve weeks alongside half-day and full-day sessions for beginners and more experienced potters. Classes are kept to small groups so that Landrock can give individual instruction at the wheel.
